Omri Biegetz (IL, 88) is a multimedia artist and an Audio visual generalist, working and living in Amsterdam, NL.
Following several years of work as a journalistic photographer in Israel, Omri moved to the Netherlands and completed his BFA at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, VAV department (2015).
Omri’s work navigates subtle subversions of reality through his investigations of technological possibilities. Through animation, physical and digital 3D - mapping, design and printing; as well as robotics and computation, Biegetz work tells stories of possibilities beyond common perception.
His work has been exhibited in the Netherlands and abroad, as well as published internationally.
Omri collaborates with research based artists, to transform their vision into visual stories. Among his collaborations are the artist Sonia Kazovsky, Gabriell Lester, Carlos Irijalba and Nicolas Combarro, and has been exhibited in Utrecht centraal museum, Maximiliansforum Berlin, Rijksakademie and more.
Omri’s work together with Studio Tungsten, has been presented in temporary exhibitions and permanent collections such as Kunstmuseum Den haag, Fotomuseum Rotterdam, Beit Haim Oudekerk and more.
